Tunworth

Tunworth is a soft, bloomy-rind cow’s-milk cheese made by Hampshire Cheeses. It is often compared with Camembert, but I think it deserves to be treated as a British classic in its own right. As it ripens the centre becomes soft and glossy, with flavours moving through cream and mushroom into deeper brassica and earthy notes. Eat it ripe, not chalky, and it is a completely different experience.
