Leyden

A Dutch cheese from around Leiden, flavoured with cumin seeds and made from partly skimmed milk. The texture is firm and dry, the flavour savoury and spiced. The farmhouse version is stamped with the crossed keys of the city of Leiden and is protected. It is a lovely cheese for anyone who likes a little spice.
