At Cheeses we are committed to bringing you high quality cheese in peak condition. All of the cheese we send is freshly hand cut and selected personally for each individual order. The minimum quantity of cut cheese is 250g roughly 8oz and we have indicated the weight of individual cheeses.
As your cheese is selected and cut to suit your order, there will inevitably be a small margin of error. In cases where we cut one of your cheeses a little underweight we will endeavour to compensate by giving you a larger piece of another of your selection.
Occasionally some cheeses are out of stock or season, if this situation arises, we will replace your selection with something we feel is similar to your choice and compliments the rest of you selection. Also if we feel that your cheese is not at its peak (eg. unripe) we will replace it with something similar that is.
Returns - If you are not happy with any of your goods, supplied by Cheeses, you must inform us within 24 hours after delivery. All products must be returned to us or made available for inspection. Images - Goods may vary in appearance from the images on the website. Images are for indicative purposes only. Delivery - Christmas 2011 We look forward to receiving your order for Christmas. Please note that the last day to place an order for delivery in the Christmas week is 19th December 2011 and your order will be delivered between 20th and 22nd December. Please be reassured that our courier service is exceptional and we have never had problems with delivery. As it is such a busy time of year we do not expect you to wait in for your delivery, however, you must let us know where you would like it left if you are out. If you are placing an order for Christmas, please phone through your special instructions and requested date to the shop (020 8444 9141). Delivery - Next Day No matter the size of your order next day delivery is priced at £9.95 anywhere** in the UK (**excluding some addresses in the Scottish highlands which may take two days). We ask that you place your order by 11.30am for it to be guaranteed delivery the next day, however it is always preferable to place your order 48 hours in advance wherever possible. It is also imperative that some one is at the stated delivery address to receive the parcel; we will not leave parcels with neighbours or friends unless stated, as goods are perishable and delicate. We are however able to deliver to work addresses wherever possible.
As the shop is open TUESDAY TO FRIDAY these are the days that you will be able to order for next day delivery. (Please be aware of a higher charge for Saturday deliveries)
Deliveries - Important Details HOUSE NUMBER – We ask that you inform us of the house number and not just the name of your house. If your house has no number please give a description of directions.
POSTCODE – Please make sure that your full postcode is stated on the order form, if you do not know it you can use the postcode finder at www.royalmail.com
DIRECTIONS AND SPECIFIC DETAILS – if your address is hard to find please let us know and give us some information, simple directions from points of interest or with flats, specific floors, or bells i.e. Third cottage on the right with a green door.
TELEPHONE NUMBER – Please include daytime, evening and mobile numbers, if you can. Contact numbers are useful, if a problem does arise we will be able to contact you to rectify it.
REQUIREMENTS – It is important that when ordering in advance that you specify which date you require the package so it will be delivered as expected.
Collect in person If you wish to order you cheeses online, and then pick them up from the shop, simply specify the date and approximate time for pick up, and select the Collection option on the Order form and we will have you order waiting for you.
