A seasonal cheese that is famous for its uniqueness. Vacherin Mont d'Or is sold in a round wooden box, has an orangey pink washed rind wrapped in spruce bark. It is buttery, velvety and when it's at its best it's hard to contain and should be eaten with a spoon. Its flavour is rich, creamy and fruity, and lingers on the palette. It can be baked in its box with a little wine for an exciting starter! At Christmas, these delicious cheeses run out of the shop like hot cakes! Season - late September to mid March
